  • We want to change our policy so that there is no limit on session numbers when people are terminally ill with cancer. We are looking to raise specific funds for this project.
  • We want to ensure that there is never a waiting list for clients at CCT
  • We are already coordinating outreach projects across London focusing on deprived areas and wish to do more of this work
  • We want additional resources and staff for an increase in services, including implementing and staffing a new telephone helpline to deal with crisis calls and assessment.
  • We are already implementing our first cancer training programme for private counsellors to whom we can refer for face to face and telephone sessions across the UK. We hope to run more of these courses to cater for different health professionals, promoting understanding of working with cancer and the difficulties it can entail.
  • We want to set up an affiliate network which incorporates specialist cancer counsellors trained as above as well as others sourced through the BACP (British Asssociation for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).

"The emphasis here at CCT is on offering the most helpful and professional service to our clients and a lot of hard work goes on not only to ensure this happens but also that the organisation is run in an efficient and cost effective way. I feel very lucky to be part of this fantastic charity" - Sasha Jenkin, Executive Assistant
